What personal data we collect
- Enquiry form data: name, email address, company, phone (optional), product or category of interest, message, and any optional technical detail you provide.
- File attachments: any documents you choose to upload with your enquiry (drawings, schedules, specifications).
- Technical metadata: the page you were on when you submitted, an anonymised session identifier, and an IP-address-derived approximate region (for anti-spam only).
- Cookies you accept: see the cookie policy for the categories and what each is used for.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To preserve a record of the enquiry for audit purposes.
- To improve the website (only with your consent for analytics cookies — default is off).
Lawful basis
For responding to enquiries: legitimate interest in handling commercial enquiries we receive. For analytics: your consent (default off). For records of enquiries we have actioned: legitimate interest in maintaining a commercial audit trail.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records (including file attachments) are retained for up to seven years as a commercial audit trail, then deleted automatically. You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us — see “Your rights” below.
Who we share it with
- Our transactional email provider, for the technical purpose of delivering your enquiry to our inbox.
- Our hosting provider, who processes the data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement.
- We do not sell or pass your data to advertising networks. No marketing cookies run on this site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR / the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise any of these, contact inquiry@flowtec.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
